First Air Fleet is a Campaign Study expansion for the Second World War at Sea series published by Avalanche Press.

This booklet explores alternative operational approaches to Operation MO, the Japanese attempt to seize Port Moresby in May 1942, which historically led to the Battle of the Coral Sea.

The study analyzes different strategic options for deploying Japanese carrier forces, including the concentration of all six carriers of the First Air Fleet in accordance with the principle of mass.

Early Japanese planning for Operation MO included discussion about the allocation of carrier forces, including the possible deployment of the carrier Kaga alongside Shokaku and Zuikaku.
