Battle Commander Volume I – Expansion 1 is a Napoleonic expansion focused on Bonaparte’s Italian campaigns between 1796 and 1805.

The expansion directly complements Battle Commander Volume I: Napoleon’s Italian Campaigns by adding six new historical scenarios covering Mondovi 1796, the three Rivoli clashes of 1796, Caldiero 1796, and Caldiero 1805.

The module highlights Napoleon’s early Italian campaigns, including several engagements where French forces faced serious difficulties and even defeats, offering a broader perspective on Bonaparte’s rise as a commander.

Game System
The expansion uses the diceless Battle Commander system driven by cube-pull mechanics and Event cards.

The system recreates command friction, tactical uncertainty, and battlefield tempo through dynamic activations and constant player interaction.

This expansion introduces new commanders, leaders, and cards that expand the tactical possibilities of the core game while maintaining its fluid and command-focused gameplay.

Objective
