Theme and Historical Setting
Hungarian Nightmare recreates the bitter urban struggle for Budapest during the winter of 1944–1945, where encircled Axis forces faced overwhelming Soviet and Romanian attackers. This battle is one of the few large-scale city operations of World War II to be represented in a dedicated simulation.
Game Description
Players assume command of both sides with uneven forces and must handle varied unit quality, limited supplies, and tight timetables. The historical outcome was effectively a draw, and the game challenges players to try to outperform history.
