Paper Wars 96: Rally Round the Flag simulates two major battles of the American Civil War, Perryville (1862) and Stones River (1862–1863).

The campaign covers the Confederate invasion of Kentucky led by Braxton Bragg against Union forces under Don Carlos Buell, as well as the intense fighting near Murfreesboro. These battles, though often overlooked, had significant strategic and morale consequences, especially for the Union.
