Compass Games returns to the Korean War with Paper Wars Issue 113, featuring Inchon, MacArthur’s Gambit, an operational two-player wargame designed by James P. Werbaneth. The game recreates the daring UN amphibious landing at Inchon in September 1950 and the subsequent drive toward Seoul during one of the most decisive campaigns of the Korean War.
Players command either the United Nations X Corps or the North Korean People’s Army in a tense operational contest where logistics, timing and maneuver are critical. The game uses a traditional hex-and-counter system: each turn equals one day of real time and each hex represents approximately one mile. Units mainly depict battalions and individual naval assets. This edition is a graphical refresh of the original Command Magazine #9 version and incorporates previous errata without changing the rules system.
