No Turning Back is the latest title in Multi-Man Publishing's acclaimed Line of Battle (LoB) series, depicting the Battle of the Wilderness fought on May 5–6, 1864, the opening engagement of Grant's Overland Campaign during the American Civil War. It recreates the first major clash between Ulysses S. Grant and Robert E. Lee, where dense forests, poor visibility, command confusion and brutal close-range fighting shaped the battle.
Designed by Dean Essig, the game faithfully portrays the unique tactical challenges of the Wilderness. Units become disoriented, maneuver is severely restricted, and commanders struggle to coordinate attacks across difficult terrain. The maps are based on post-war historical surveys, providing one of the most accurate representations of the battlefield available.
Using the proven Line of Battle system, players command regiments while managing brigade cohesion, fatigue, command efficiency and coordinated assaults. Multiple historical scenarios are included alongside two full campaign games covering the entire battle.
With nearly two thousand counters and four large maps, No Turning Back stands as one of the most comprehensive and historically detailed entries in the Line of Battle series.
